How in the world can I be Happy and perplexed at the same time. Health Care Reform has finally come to the United States, but it's amidst much bending of rules and twisting of truths. Not to mention, there are several strings attached that have yet to come to light under the weight of thousands of pages of fluff in the bill.
Woe is me! I'm ripped and torn. I congratulate President Obama who has worked tirelessly and had the vision to bring about Change. At the same time, I would like to take a ruler to his hand for appearing to kowtow to a Republican heirarchy that is hell-bent on destroying this country just to appear as a united front.
What do you think of these shenanigans in our government?
Here's a few facts and fallacies about the Reform Bill http://factcheck.org/2010/03/a-final-weekend-of-whoppers/

Bro, I have similar feelings. I give our president a tremendous amount of credit for doing something that no other president was able to do in the past and doing it in the age of Fox News.
This bill will help anyone who wants to get health coverage get it. It will stop discrimination of people due to preexisting conditions and help college age people retain their coverage.
Poorer people will be able to get on Medicaid and healthy people with $$ will be forced to get coverage which will lower the cost for all.
But, this bill is not as good as it could and should be. It is watered down. We should have a single-payer system. Healthcare is an important basic need just like our fire departments and police departments so it should be socialized just like the others.
This bill is a great step in the right direction, but we still have a lot more fighting to do before we get it it right.
yea, it's not as strong as it could be but def a step in the right direction.
I would love to discuss this law with you. I read it before it became law and I think so that we can have an good discussion you should as well. This will also put you ahead of most of the people that voted for it.
